Side comment: This is how I started the original essay but then later threw this paragraph away and started fresh. I was irritated at the start, but gradually realized I was going nowhere fast.
By Ashley Burke Don't throw crap in my face and then pretend that it was something worthwhile because if it is meaningless to you then it most certainly is meaning less to me. Human beauty isn't what is on the outside. "It's what's on the inside that counts, not what's on the outside." Isn't that what they always say? But quite frankly that isn't what most people put into practice. People, because they are human, are cruel and uncaring sometimes in relation to the thoughts and feelings of others. Everything is in comparison to one's self and their beliefs which were brought forth by years of experience and pressure. Human beauty doesn't exist, not visually. It is an idea that resides in that of the beholder. It is what is true and dear to the beholder and if they have nothing inside themselves then they have nothing to see inside someone else. "You have to love yourself before you can truly love another." They cannot see what they do not understand. They cannot understand what they have never felt, and what they have never felt they do not know or comprehend.
